How to invite a beneficiary to receive funds?
Gohelpme is a platform where you can raise funds for someone else and set them as the beneficiary of the fundraiser campaign. This permits the beneficiary to transfer the funds directly to their bank accounts. Before sending them the invitation, ensure that your beneficiary meets all the requirements to receive funds.
How to Send a Beneficiary Invitation?
- Select the tab “Transfers” from your dashboard.
- Choose the option “Someone else’s bank account”.
- Make sure to enter the correct email and then select “Get Started” under “Invite a beneficiary”.
- You will now be required to enter their name and email address.
- Confirm the information and then click on the option “Send Invite”.
It is crucial to add a beneficiary at the time of transfer setup. If you have completed the setting up transfers by using your information, you won’t be able to add a beneficiary then. If you encounter any trouble when sending the invitation or the beneficiary is facing issues in accepting it, then try to add a different email address. If you are still facing the issues, you can contact our support team to find out how to handle the situation.
Once your beneficiary accepts the invite, no additional action is required from the Gohelpme organizer to set up transfers.
How a beneficiary account works:
When your beneficiary accepts the invitation, a separate Gohelpme account will be created for them that will also be connected to your fundraiser campaign. They will be able to sign into a separate account and set up the transfers so that they can get the funds into their bank account.
