Your Name on Gohelpme
When creating a fundraiser, you will enter your name in two places:
- Public Profile: This is the name displayed on your fundraiser page. It can be a nickname or anything you'd like people to see.
- Bank Transfers: This name stays private and is used for withdrawals. It must be your legal name exactly as it appears on your ID and bank statement.
Adding a beneficiary lets them share the funds raised. Their name will also appear on the fundraiser page, and they can choose to display a nickname if they prefer privacy. If you ever need to update either your name or the beneficiary's name, Gohelpme provides easy steps to make those changes. Just be sure to follow their guidelines for appropriate names to ensure a smooth fundraising experience.
